Friday, July 29th – Cave Jam, Pacific, MO

Well that was spelunktastic. We played in our first cave with our two new band mates, Tim Piper on drums and Lance Thomas on guitar and vocals. The set featured tunes from The In? catalog including IZE, Pueblo, Shatter, In the Lobby and Santa Cruz and four new tunes from Lance Thomas including Tango Frustrado, Elephant Stares, Breathing Fast and Season Four Change. We played just as day turned to night with a cool 75 degrees (or so) over our heads – a nice break from the heat. The atmosphere of the crowd in the cave was fantastic as those entering the festival all got to slow, pause or stop on their way in to enjoy the set. Thanks to all those who logged the trip out to Pacific to enjoy the music. This gig represented a new direction for the band and we know there will be more gigs coming under a moniker yet to be determined and hope you will be there with us.

Its been a while. We’ve been good, adding people to our lives and tracks for a new album in our Cherokee hideaway. As you may have heard this gig was our sendoff as we say so long to Joel as he moves off to sunny San Diego where he will enjoy living by the sea and the whales. He will take control of a small army of California robot computers there.

Four our last show with Joel we were invited to sit in with Get Down Bella, which coincidently was their last show with Joel. We’ll laid a short set of In? originals from the Joel era including Lobby, Pueblo, Ethanol Appetite’s Itching, and You are Here. We will miss our good friend and bass man. Joel we wish you all the best, you are irreplaceable.

Saturday, August 28, 2010 – Rock the Meadows @ UMSL

Wow what a big stage you have. We ran the sound for a night of entertainment and threw a phat set of In? originals in there as well. Thanks to Tabitha for getting out there. Quite a variety that day as acts such as Corey and Brian performed, Thelonious Funk, Soulera, FKS and A Rhyme or Reason, took the stage. The U Radio Station was on hand for some DJ sounds.

Thursday, August 19 – The Firebird

The band Blank and our friend Joe Boland asked us to join them for this set. We had a nice Thursday night crowd including the softball guys and Firedog. Not sure if the dog and bird argued over the fire or not?

Our first full band show since June, so we knocked a little rust off and got ourselves back in the groove. Thanks to all those who came out and supported.

The Way Out Club – July 10, 2010

Back at the Way Out with four solid performances from four bands. A great night of community as the musicians all supported each other and then came back to the studio spot for a 5am party. That is time well spent – mulit-person jam session and the invention of the song, “Ladies” thanks to that hard-hittin’ JWill. He is quite the fella.

We missed Chris on this one, he was in gambling rehab or something. I bet he’ll be back better than ever. The show featured our hot and up set, meaning we kicked the crap out of the set and had the entire bar dancing. That was mostly thanks to Aiesha but we provided the soundtrack. It was good to sweat that good sweat again, lights on ya, loud ass PA, crowd up close just jammin’ out.

We are back.

Library – June 11, 2010

Greetings to a new batch of In fans as we welcomed Jason Williams on drums and vocals. This multi-talented snare wacker played his heart out and the In? was complimented on their “best performance in a long time.”

Great to have JWill with us as we move forward as a band who “kicks the crap out of sets.” Just ask JWill. He’ll tell ya.

Jimmy Johns afterward and some time back at the studio spot. Joel was a hero teaching bass while JWill and Nathan ate their heros. Chris was a hero for driving his wife home. Hurray literacy and heros. Long live the Library.

Our first show with the randy bunch, Udi and His Fellow Villagers. Yes, I’m calling them randy because if you saw this show (my first) and partied with them afterward (we did) then you would agree that the crooning lead man Nick truly leads a randy bunch. Maybe the addition of a “Randy” in the band would also help my point.

Good show, though, quick hitting up set with Schurk on the drums. We will have some recordings from the set posted soon. Played Pueblo for the second time live and it took flight once again.

March 13, 2010 – Stagger Inn Again with Firedog

Our good friends Firedog help spread the positive vibe that pre Patty’s Sat – ur – day. The played an awesome cover of Makala Shaprio’s Situation. It was a sweaty good time. We always believed in bringing our friends to share in the opportunity to create and offer music. We have a few videos from the night, Firedog’s mission was accomplished for us that night and we were glad to be a part of it. Thanks to the big grizzly behind the bar again for always setting us straight.

Friday, January 15 – AB’s Place

Just returned from a show at AB’s Place. Met some good people there. The show featured Dan Fisher and Paul Counts on percussion and John Gardner on harps. I was a new sound for a new town. Good to play with those fellas. You ever doubt those marketers at Facebook. Well they will bring a doulbly ironic connection back and the pregnancies that are told! Back at the hatch unloading, hockey and jams. HIde OUt.

This is Boots Randolph cousin’s neighbor’s foster dog’s families brother’s friend.

January 9, 2010 – Stagger Inn Again

Our first booking of the new year, the Western New Year that is, and being in the West, that seemed like a good time to call it the new year, although there are other new years that are just as relevant. Just ask the moon.

I digress.

The show was friggin’ cold. It was also cold outside. Mike Schurk returned on drums for us and we busted the fully set. Good to play with our old pal again who just celebrated the Team Relevance CD release in December http://teamrelevance.com/

The friendly bear behind the bar was extra busy and friendly which is a good manner to keep your bears in. Over to Joel’s for the after party which included about 700 tacos. Too bad Chris had to break that up, I could have really used another 40 or 50 of those.
